HOW TO COUNT WORDS IN A COMPOSITION/ESSAY

HOW TO COUNT WORDS IN A COMPOSITION/ESSAY

Normally but a burden, words in a sentence, paragraph, page or an essay can be counted by counting word after word. This can be the way to reach out the real number of words per sentence or composition. But there are other simple ways to come to that result.

THE SIMPLE METHOD OF COUNTING WORDS IN A COMPOSITION OR AN ESSAY
Apart from that burden of counting word after word in a sentence, page or composition, one can count and identify the number of words by using other simple methods. For the case of computer, laptops, and other electronic devices, words and characters are counted automatically. However, for the handwriting activities, there is no such automatic calculation, thus making it difficult for larger compositions like essays, assignments and some long letters.

The following are the simple method of counting handwritten words on a paper:
  • Step 1: Count words per each line. To get better results, count the first line, any middle line, and the last line of the page of your composition. For instance, you can get 8 words for first line; 7 words for any middle line; and 8 words for the last line. By estimation, you can assume that each line contain 8 words.
  • Step 2: Count the lines per page. For instance, you can get 22 lines per page.
  • Step 3: Multiply. Take 8 (the total number or words per line) multiply by 22 lines of the whole page. Here you will have the total of 176 words by approximation.
  • Step 4: Because you already know the numbers of words per page, now multiply 176 by the total pages of your composition/essay. For example, your essay may have 6 full pages. That means, your essay will have 1056 words by approximation. This total number is calculated by multiplying 176 words by 6. Even if there may be some half pages, it is still simple to estimate the number of words per page.

For example
Take a look at this sample composition below:

In this composition from Narrative Compositions  in Form Three, may be the first page of your handwritten composition. From computer, this page is automatically 246 words page. But if you assume it as a handwritten, you can have 17 words for the first line; 19 words for the middle line; and 17 words for the other line as indicated. Thus, if you take 17 and multiply it by 23 of lines of that page, you will have 391 words. And this number is big because some lines are short and others are long. But it will have produced the best approximation of your composition.
Generally, this is widely applied method of counting words for most handwritten compositions/essays. It is better to use it especially by students whose subjects include essay questions in their final examinations. By using this method, students can be able to estimate the number words easily and keep up with the examination time instead of awkward counting of word after word.

    1. If ur first, second and third lines are different e.g 12, 10 and 9
Just add them and divide by 3 i.e 12+10+9=31/3= approximately 10

    CLIENT VALUE.

Timing is rarely perfect. Waiting empowers mediocrity. People sit around waiting their entire lives for the perfect this, the perfect that. The perfect scenarios and circumstances never arrive. What does arrive?

Time, old age, and the specter of a dream lost. And now you have the opportunity to get out of the garage and take the road.

Businesses that solve needs win. Businesses that provide value win. Businesses that solve problems win profits.

Think about the purpose of businesses. Why do they exist? To satisfy your selfish desire to “do what you love?” To satisfy your craving for wealth and financial freedom? Seriously, no one cares about your desires, your dreams, your passions, your “whys” and your reasons for wanting to be rich.

No one cares that you want to own a Ferrari and prove your parents wrong. No one cares that corporate Nigeria wronged you. No one cares! Yes, the world is a selfish place and nobody gives two shits about your motives to “go bigger” So what do people care about? People care about what your business can do for them.

How will it help them? What’s in it for them? Will it solve their problem? Make their life easier? Provide them with shelter? Save them money? Educate them? Make them feel something?

Automatically everything will fall in place to both party.
