NOTICE TO KATAVI ENGLISH TEACHERS

Dear Teachers,

In this year, 2017, we are going to share our teaching and learning experiences. Now that we have attended In-Service Training, it is time to share our experiences, remind ourselves of the implementation of the training’s contents, and finally take our teaching career to the next level with noticeable academic performances for our subject.

As we are witnessing recently, teaching career is now a competitive profession where each competitor should be well prepared in order not only to be accomplished in his/her teaching profession but also to make sure one is well-known and competent in the field. This situation alongside with others has convinced me to launch KATAVI ENGLISH TEACHERS NETWORK where we will be able to share how to effectively teach our 39 ‘O’ Level Topics and 90 Sub-Topics.

To facilitate easy sharing of all these sub-topics and to have all classes covered, we will at least share four (4) sub-topics, one from each class per one week as from January to June 2017. What you need to have is just your email, and that’s all! For those who are more interested in Google+ can also access the materials from there and you have the chance to comment as well!

All the materials will be shared via your email address. You’ll just need to open your email and open an Email link that will lead you to the resource center or our network (site). We have chosen email becauuse it is more secure, reliable and uncompromised way to reach the intended content. This method makes it easier even to cite (make references) the visited content than any other social networking systems.

After reading the material you have accessed through your email, now you can ask a question, modify, comment, suggest or criticize and recommend other ways to teach the sub topic in question more effectively. We should remember that materials shared are not the end products; they can be modified or challenged in order to get even better ways to teach, and this works very well with the site.
I wish you Happy sharing for 2017!

NOTE:
After this is done, we will be using the shared materials on the site for the remaining second term and of course we will be sharing and modifying them for the rest of our teaching career because they are just there for us on the site.
We get various notes from various books and sources about English, but none of them are integrating us to teach through well –integrated activities and games which we participate in making them, and this site is the chance to participate in creating the materials!
